This easter long weekend (April 23rd & 24th) the Inner West Festival returns to the Sando in Newtown. Apart from showcasing new talent found through the Inner West Festival Band Competition (which has been running @ the Sando for the last few months), the festival also features TWO DAYS worth of established and talented Inner West Acts.
Started in 2010 after a beer or two and a conversation between promoters and bands, The Inner West Festival started as an alternative for those who couldnt afford tickets to The Blues Fest and other more expensive gigs run on the Long weekend. The festival also utalises BOTH of the Sando Stages (Chillout and Main) allowing for an all day mini-festival feeling.
This year continues the vibe with the first day (Saturday 23rd) having a more hip hop feel, whilst the second day (Sunday 24th) being aimed more at the rock fans, The Festival showcases the broad musical influences and tastes of the Inner West of Sydney.
