Psychotic music for Neurotic People

The Fireballs National Tour 2011

Originating from Melbourne, The Fireballs have blazed a trail through the rockabilly scene with their hard ‘n’ fast brand of pyschobilly. Combining a reckless live show with a relentless combination of speed rock, punk and metal, all the while retaining their old school rockabilly roots, The Fireballs gave a young The Living End their first gig, and have supported rock greats such as Motorhead, Motlety Crue, KISS, The Divinyls and Midnight Oil. Besides extensive nationally touring, The Fireballs have bamboozled huge crowds at the large neo-traditionalist psychobilly festivals of Europe and Japan. Now, with a revitalised line-up, they’ve set their sites on conquering a new National Tour: Psychotic Music for Neurotic People.

Back again after an extended hiatus, featuring a new line up with Dylan Villain & Pete Speed (replacing Matt Black) on guitars, keeping Eddie Fury on drums & vox, and Joe Phantom on bass, The Fireballs aim to bring their brand of psychobilly to a new generation of fans. Their latest release, the full length album “Hellrider” (released on their own label XXXX Fireballs Records) shows influences from extremities ranging as far as Norwegian black metal, George Jones and Buck Owens, and the sound barrier breaking speeds & madness of Japanese psychobilly, “Hellrider” marks a mental line in the sand, marking a new era and a new wave of touring.

“It’s like we’re a new band now,” says Eddie Fury, “we’ve got extra horsepower and we’re fuelled up, cranked up and ready to burn. We’re a nitrous shot to the brink of sanity, baby!”

THE FIREBALLS take their nitrous shot to the brink across Australia this June and July, with their only Sydney date at THE SANDO on FRIDAY 1ST JULY with very special guests, The Dark Shadows.

Hellrider by Fireballs is out now on XXX Fireballs Records and available via their webstore.

Presale tickets are available via the zombie dog website.
